Could we use a volunteer fire department for Promontory Heights?

Recent incidents have made me think that maybe we could use a volunteer fire component of some sort to help with the response times. A recent incident on Bridlewood could have been very serious and the response time was about 15 minutes while we all stood around watching and waiting. Another resident told me about an incident that was a 25 minute response. My question is I wonder if we should approach the City of Chilliwack with a proposal for a crew of volunteers here in Promontory. What do you think? Would you want to volunteer?
